UNCF

As one of the oldest foundations geared toward African American scholarship and education, UNCF has been a leader in increasing the number of minorities both entering and completing degrees in higher education institutions.   Founded in 1944, UNCF’s mission is to award scholarships to students each year, provide financial support to historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and serve as the nation’s leading advocate for the importance of minority education and community engagement.  To date, UNCF has raised over $4.7 billion and assisted more than 445,000 students attend college. Annually, UNCF awards 10,000 scholarships worth more than $100 million.

TNL Foundation is committed to increasing the number of underrepresented minorities attending colleges and university and will continue to support the UNCF to reach these goals.
